How to Use Collections to Create and Organize Hashtag Groups
You want to ensure that your social media has value for your followers … but that’s time-consuming. We know your time is valuable, and we want to help you maximize it every way possible.
That’s why, with our latest update to Hashtag Expert (version 5.2.0), we added a cool new feature known as Collections. With this feature, organizing and categorizing your favorite hashtag groups is simpler than ever before.
Collections allows you to sort and save your favorite hashtags so you can easily find them later. You’ll be able to keep them separate by naming them and then assigning them to dedicated folders. And you can save as many groups as you like in a collection.
Here are some of the many ways to create collections.
1. Create a New Collection During Searches
Go to the Generate tab and enter the base hashtag, or type the first few letters and select from the suggestions.
Tap Generate Hashtags.
Now from the hashtag suggestions, select a group you want to use and tap Copy Hashtags.
Once the hashtags are copied, you’ll notice an option to create a collection on the same page.
If you’re interested in saving one or more hashtag groups, tap the plus icon to create a new collection.
Next, you’ll be prompted to assign a name to the hashtag group you saved. For example, Movies, Arts and Crafts, Books, or any other name you choose. Now tap Create Collection.
When you’re done, you’ll see a new collection with the name you assigned at the bottom of the page.
Tap that, and you’ll see all the hashtags that have been automatically saved in that collection.
You can tap Saved To <collection name> at the top to visit the collection page, where you can edit or delete hashtags or even the entire collection.
2. Create Collections from Trending Hashtag Groups
When you’re interested in hashtags that appear in Trending, Top, New, and/or Recent, you can create a collection from any or all of them. Here’s how:
Go to the Trending tab, and from there choose Trending or any other tab.
Below each group, notice the yellow ribbon, bookmark-like icon and tap if you want to save a particular group. Now tap the plus icon which says Create Collection.
Type a name for the hashtag collection, tap Create Collection, and a new collection will be created immediately.
To check, edit, or remove hashtags, click the collection name and tap Saved to <collection name>.
3. Save Hashtag Groups by Collection from Direct Search
Much like the previous instruction, you can save hashtags and assign them to Collections when you’re searching for hashtags and before copying them.
Just tap the bookmark icon below each hashtag group, assign a name, and you’re done.
How to Find Your Collections
You’ll find all the collections you created in the Profile tab.
By default, you’ll be in the Profile section, and just beside it is the Collections tab.
Tap Collections and a page like the one shown below will appear; that’s where you’ll find all the collections you’ve created.
Now you can tap on each collection name to view the hashtags.
How to Edit Collections
Editing hashtag collections, including renaming them, is easy.
Just go to the Profile tab and select the collection group you want to edit or rename.
- To remove a collection, tap the yellow bookmark icon. From there, either choose Remove or assign to another category, as shown below:
- To edit hashtags, tap Edit.
- To delete or rename an entire collection, tap the pencil icon at the top right corner of the page and choose the right option.
Why Use Collections?
The short answer is: Because it will save you time.
Collections helps you categorize hashtags by topics, interests, brands, or names. You’ll be able to distinguish between groups and quickly navigate, browse through collections, and identify the right set of hashtags.
